Define the role of appointments
An appointment may be for practice, reviewing a period or planning the next one. Within a programme, it helps to know the purpose of each session.
Ask which appointments are included, how often they happen and over what period. The word “support” alone does not describe a service.
Set communication boundaries
A messaging channel is a way to communicate, not a promise of constant availability. Topics, response arrangements and timing should be clear.
You may prefer scheduled reviews to an open-ended conversation. A useful framework is one both people understand in the same way.
Review what actually happened
A review can begin with simple questions: what did you try? What found a place in your week? Where did you need to adapt?
That feedback helps choose the next steps. It is not about grading a perfect performance, but understanding what to retain, simplify or stop.
Plan the next step without assumptions
A phase of coaching should lead to a decision: continue, change format, space appointments further apart or pause.
The next period and its terms are discussed. An ongoing relationship does not imply an automatic subscription or the same schedule indefinitely.
